Ring Pellet Mold - 1 Cavity - All Sizes 2 to 17-

Control the final size of your ring creations! A cost-effective way to cast your own ring pellets, which are used to control the shrinkage of PMC during firing. Use investment (sold separately) to make just one ring pellet or the entire set. The ring size is molded into the bottom of each cavity for easy identification after the pieces are created.

Pellet molds are appropriate for silver clays such as PMC3, PMC+ and Art Clay Silver - base metal clays do not work well with the pellets.

Ring Pellet Molds & Investment September 9, 2019

Great products.  In response to earlier review:  Sterling Silver will always blacken when heated sufficiently, like with soldering.  The copper in the metal reacts to the oxygen in the air forming a copper oxide (black).  Simply put the blackened jewelry in a warm jeweler's pickle and the discoloration will dissolve quickly.

Do not use with PMC Sterling October 28, 2013
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from Rochester, NY United States
I rated this product 3 stars because while it is a nicely made product and the pellets turn out great, it should not be used with PMC Sterling Silver which should be made clear in the description.  It leaves a black finish on the inside of the ring where the pellets touch which is difficult to remove.  It has to be polished aggressively to get it off.  I learned from somewhere else that the cause for this is "the investment reacting to the atmosphere created by the carbon".  The pellets probably work fine with PMC (fine silver).
